Salvage and Oil Spills

Sabine Surveyors Ltd presently has two marine surveyors on staff that has had careers as Salvage Masters and has, between them, been involved in over 400 marine salvage events. From re-floating Afromax tankers that have grounded on sand bars to recovering capsized jack-up boats, to raising sunken seismic vessels, we have had some type of experience with it.

Not only that, many of our surveyors have worked with the major salvage and response contractors and are experienced in negotiating contracts and overseeing salvage and clean up efforts.

With today’s emphasis on a clean environment it is important that response to a salvage event is quick, efficient and safe. We have the experience to co-ordinate oil spill clean up operations with contractors and government officials to minimize the liability, expense and difficulties that lie in wait to trap the unwary.
