Whether it is a routine maintenance yard period or an emergency repair due to unforeseen circumstances, we have the capability to assist ship, barge or boat owners with problems both big and small.

We work for Owners and/or Underwriters in cases of fire, grounding, collision, engine failure or other hazard situations.

Sabine Surveyors Ltd has experienced marine surveyors on staff that can quickly and accurately assess the damage to a vessel and prepare a repair specification that can be used to negotiate an estimate for repair. We use our experience and local knowledge to determine which repair yards have the availability and skill set to provide the complete answer to the problem at hand.

After work has been placed in hand at the shipyard, we can monitor progress, track change orders and negotiate a fair settlement of price. We draw our staff from a wide variety of professions such as ship’s superintendents, United States Coast Guard staff and shipyard estimators so that our ‘been there, done that’ experience truly assists the Owners get things done right.

We also provide superintendent engineers to assist in routine dry-docking period and quadrennial surveys in cases where remote owners cannot attend directly. We can act as Owners representatives in repair, maintenance and new building efforts.
